Autumn, a time to Enjoy Warming Foods

Now that the weathers getting cooler its good to start eating warming foods like homemade soups, stews, teas, baked apples & pumpkin.I sprinkled on top of this homemade pumpkin carrot soup some chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and dash of cayenne pepper for little extra healthy garnishing. Seasonal, local, and organic ingredients are worth making the effort in finding. You will notice how much more savoury and healing it will be. I never regret going out of my way to get my produce. In fact it is so much more peaceful to shop this way than in big crowded supermarkets. One of my favourite stops to pick up local organic produce is: Les Bontee de Vallee farm which sells to the public every Saturday and Sunday in the Plateau. You can find more info about it here > http://blog.backtoeden.ca/best-organic-fruit-vegetable-outdoor-market-in-the-plateau/ Soon to come in Back to Eden Blog : A lists of all the different places in Montreal that you can pick out local organic produce; Farms, Organic Food Boxes for delivery, Farmers Markets & local organic shops.
