Special Dedication. I dedicate Back to Eden to Roberto Ugarte, a very special soul mate of mine, who passed away on June 18, 2013 after a courageous battle with sarcoma Cancer. The idea for the Healthy Living Directory in particular, was born through my trying to find healers and complimentary treatments to help him heal his Cancer over the years. As I searched for help and support for Roberto, my list of associations and contacts grew, as did my sadness. But pain is two sided, and what hurts can also push us to grow. It forced me to look deeper in to my soul’s purpose and to find out what I truly wanted to do with my time in this world. In listening to my heart I realized I wanted to guide others to healing and wellness and provide people with the resources to find, develop, improve or maintain a healthy natural lifestyle, more easily in our community . I dedicate this website to the loving Memory of Roberto Ugarte. May his name live on forever and shine down light, love and healing to our world. I miss you each day more than words can ever express, my moon friend ♥
I also dedicate this website to naturopath Jethro Kloss who has been one of the most my influential people on my path to natural wellness. His book Back to Eden, written in 1939 continues to be one of the most important guides to herbal medicine, natural foods and home remedies to this day. It has served as my bible since I was a teen, helping me to naturally heal various illnesses and injuries, encouraging me to connect with the will, and by introducing me to the miraculous power of nature. The pages of Jethro Kloss’s book have made such a strong mark in my life that it only came natural to name the Healthy Living Directory in ode of his book, Back To Eden.
